This will be our third Halloween on the road and if there is one thing we’ve learned; no matter where you go, everybody loves to get freaky on Halloween. Halloween is our favorite holiday because it’s our once a year pass to dress up as anything, or anyone, and act a fool! So, no matter where our RV's parked we try and seek out some freaky fun adventures!
Pacific City, Oregon is minute in size (population around 1000) and yet it is one of the most popular destinations on the Oregon coast. This quaint little drinking village has some spectacular monoliths to gaze at (best done with a brew in hand), beautiful beaches to play on, or drive on, and definitely has plenty of fishing. We spent almost a week meandering about Pacific City and found more than a few things to write home about, but here is our "short list".
Making our way along Oregon’s central coast we had heard lots about Florence. So, naturally we were expecting to be blown away with its small town charm, picturesque beaches and sweeping dunes...and we were. What we weren’t expecting was a micro culture of adventure junkies! Somehow in all my searching and quizzing Oregonians, nothing gave the impression that this was the place to get your adventure on! Oh yes, this quiet little town is much more than just pretty beaches.
If you’re anything like us, ya know horrible at planning ahead, you’ve probably realized booking a last minute campsite in a National Park can be a royal pain in the butt. Finding a campground inside Yosemite National Park, in California, might be the most difficult of all…especially if you’re traveling in a large class A motorhome or trailer.
