Our Most EXCITING Day of Narrowboating
We have crossed a lot of borders by land, air, and sea. But never have we ever had anything as stunning, or as memorable, as this crossing from England to Wales by narrowboat.
If I had to describe navigating the Llangollen canal in one sentence, it would be: High action in slow motion. The first 11 miles are designated as a world heritage site for its beauty and historic engineering…and it’s easy to see why.
Join us today as we cross the stream in the sky (aka the highest aqueduct in the world), go through the longest, darkest tunnel in Wales and make our way to the source of it all, horseshoe falls. This is the day we’ve been waiting for and the whole reason we choose this canal as our first narrowboat adventure.

I don’t know if they mentioned the ending town or not, but a quick internet search for Llangollen Canal Horseshoe Falls should give you the end point. Well that was certainly part of the plan! They mentioned last week that their intended pub stop appeared to be closed. Sadly, like so many small businesses, some pubs didn’t survive the years of pandemic closures & restrictions. Hopefully they’ll all be back in business soon.
