We Moved On The ULTIMATE Performance Catamaran (full tour)

CURIOSITY 2 will be the first of her kind and is still being built.  So, in the meantime, we’re going to be living aboard a few different performance sailboats to expand our sailing experience and soak up some knowledge from our fellow world cruising sailors.

And we are starting at the top because we have moved aboard the big sister of our future boat.  It’s an HH55 named Ticket To Ride and it is the most impressive, comfortable, performance catamaran we have ever sailed!

The owners, Frank and Mary Grace, have racked up nearly 30,000 nautical miles in less than 4 years on this vessel.  They have had this boat flying a hull at 28 knots of speed (because it’s that high caliber of a race boat) but they are cruisers at heart, not racers.  They are fellow Texans, have been following our journey, and reached out the moment they heard we were looking to up our sailing game.  It was a dreamy invitation we instantly said YES to.  And here we are!

⛵Ticket To Ride

Mary Grace and Frank keep a blog of their travels aboard TTR if you want to learn more about them, their vessel, and where they have been (hello Alaska!).  I know you didn’t get to know a lot about them in this episode because we focused mostly on Ticket To Ride (she is a show stopper)…but stay tuned because they are the salt of the earth.  The kind of sailors that you want to share an anchorage, an adventure, a meal, and many many sunsets with.

🙏 WE COULDN’T MAKE THESE VIDS WITHOUT YOU!

Thank you for watching!  Ups, downs, and all around, we share it all. If you like what you see, there are lots of ways you can show your support.

Hello there! I honestly don’t know what to say, so I am going to tell you a bunch of random facts instead. I'm a fish eating vegetarian who hates spiders and loves snakes. I almost never took vacations growing up. I wanted to be Pippi Longstocking (still do). I misspell about every other word I write and still struggle with grammar. I love splurging on a good high tea (which is really hard to find these days). And whatever you do, don’t tell me I can’t do something, because then I'll HAVE to do it!

What an incredible, beautiful boat. I cannot say enough. They knew what they wanted when they ordered this up.
I saw the “Meet The Beatles” book too – the large version! I like seeing healthy coral and all the different kinds of Fish.

Beautiful vessel and I can tell you are both super excited and looking forward to Curiosity2. Based on the names of their boats I’d say they are Beatles fans. I also caught a glimpse of the book with the “meet the Beatles” photo on the cover. Tell us more in upcoming videos. 🙂

Did I miss the engine room tour? Amazing all of the technology involve in a modern cat today! This vessel really has been designed to get up and Move, no matter how light the breeze is.

Hello guys, thanks for the video and showing us around. This vessel is impressive but I would change the bed layout for sure. I can’t imagine having to crawl into bed from the foot end or trying to get out of it in a hurry. 🙂

My thoughts about ‘Ticket To Ride’ are impressive, and if I had another life to live that would be my goal. Very nice video and very impressive vessel. One of the biggest questions I would ask would be is there anything the owners would have a sked for a do over on Ticket To Ride becasue it looks very comprehensive I do love the Vented doorsthat was a great idea. Look forward to additional videos of this adventure.

There are more videos coming, including a sit-down with Mary Grace & Frank. So stay tuned – maybe they’ll talk about what they might have done differently, likes & dislikes. I’m also curious because the boat seems dang near perfect right now.

I’d love to learn much more about the power and propulsion systems. How does that 2000 KWh solar handle all those ref.s and freezers, what sort of drive motors, battery storage, and all that tech. stuff.

There are more vids coming with TTR. Not sure if that’s being covered but I know Nikki and Jason will talk about all that for C2 as their build progresses. Stay tuned!

Well, since I didn’t win the $2B lottery my phone call to HH HQ has been postponed. But great friends and great winds are priceless!
