We love this boat. We love the space, the ruggedness, and how capable she feels. But there's one deceptively small problem that is holding up a whole list of bigger plans.

Our dinghy.

This little boat is our work truck. It gets us to shore, hauls groceries and gear, and lets us explore all the places UNDRA can’t go.

Right now, we don't have a solid, safe place to lift and store a dinghy. Especially when we're offshore in big seas. Which is NOT a problem we expected to have when we bought UNDRA.

Looking at our boat, you’d think we had plenty of options for storing a tender. There’s a crane on the boat deck and another set of davits off the stern.

Oh, how looks can be deceiving.

Because neither of our options are trustworthy. And until we solve that, a surprisingly long list of other things stays on hold too. Including upgrading to a properly sized tender and storage for the paddleboards, foil boards, kayak and bikes.

We’ve been wrestling with this issue behind the scenes for a while now. And the deeper we dug into it, the more we realized we had made a pretty big assumption when we bought this boat.

Which had my high school coach's voice rattling around in my head. Because he used to say, “You know what happens when you assume? It makes an ASS out of U and ME.”

So this week’s video is about what we found, what it means for UNDRA, and why we could really use your help with what comes next.

If you are a **naval architect, marine engineer, or aluminum fabricator** with experience designing and building tender systems, we’d genuinely love to hear from you. We’re currently in the UK but happy to travel within a reasonable distance in Europe for the right team.
