I’ve been using Manfrotto (Gitzo and Bogen) since I began my photography career in the late 90’s. When I closed the business, and started travelling by RV, I downsized my giant tripod for a compact carbon-fiber Gitzo tripod that’s now literally been around the world with me (and it’s still in almost perfect condition). The one issue is it’s big and bulky, even though it’s relatively small compared to most professional tripods.
At the beginning of Nov. 2016 I added the BeFree Live tripod as a more compact, less expensive version of my Gitzo. I’m 100% sold on this little guy. It’s 1/3 of the size of my Gitzo when collapsed and when extended it seems about the same height (heigh enough for our needs). It’s a solid little tripod and I’ve been using the crap out of it since we got it.
