Gone With The Wynns started out in 2010 as a way to share our journey with friends and family. So, it really blew our minds when other people started tuning in and joining in on the conversations. Turns out, there are a lot of people who are interested, inspired or have a deep desire to live a similar lifestyle.

curiosity crew

So, we started putting more effort into our videos, photos and articles. We try to be helpful, give insight and go the extra mile to help all those wanting to know more about our unsedentary way of life.

As everything has grown and progressed…so has the time, effort and expenses to keep all this going.  Maintaining this website and keeping the videos flowing can sometimes be a beast! It’s become a full time job and one that we love.

We feel (and we hope you do too!) our website is providing a value, whether that’s the entertainment or the information.  Our website is free for all and will remain that way. Our operating costs however are not free and we are incredibly grateful for the support in whatever from it may come.

Without the ongoing support of each and every one of you: the dreamers, the planners and the fellow travelers (even the vicarious ones), none of this would be possible. We wouldn’t have made it this far without all of you and certainly can’t move forward without you either.

Below are some of the ways you can help support and show some love.  You’ll notice most of them don’t cost you a dime! So, love away!

Let us know you are with us

Shop Our Gear Store

Quite possibly the easiest way to put real money in our travel and information fund without costing you any extra pennies! When we find a product that we think is great and worth recommending, we link to it and add it to our store. We have Amazon and a select few other affiliate links throughout the site and in our Awesome Gear Store, you shop as normal and if you purchase within 24hrs we receive a minimal percentage of the sale price but at no extra cost to you.  Best part is, sometimes those affiliates offer extra discounts for you too!

We are forever grateful for your support as the funds help keep us focused on producing videos and posts. Consider it your good karma for the day (or year depending on how much you spend!).

Buy us a beer or simply send a few bucks our way

After the Canal the three of us went to visit Panama City where a man stopped me in the street and said, ''Keep that your young girl with you. Don't let her out of your sight, she could be kidnapped'. She had stopped by a shop window while we carried on walking. He was referring to our young South African crew member. He was very serious about the risk of kidnap.
Mind you, that was 30 years ago, even so it's worth remembering that you are in a different part of the world and the risks are higher. It's still worth it, though.

Thanks for your videos. I actually look forward to Monday mornings now so I can watch your latest video. I find your videos extremely well done and really enjoy your adventures. You are an inspiration for what I would like to be able to do some day. Not sure it will ever happen for me but nice to be able to live it through you.

    Thanks...Mike (from Carlisle, PA)

Love your videos. Have been following your postings and videos since your Alaska RV trip. Have made two RV trips from South Carolina to Alaska and everywhere in between (all 49 via RV or car). I always check out your postings prior to heading to a new destination. At 74, I will have to live your global adventures from my computer (besides I get motion sickness too easy). Will be RV'ing soon to Georgian Bay in Ontario.

According to your Garmin tracker your Panama volcano expedition on August 30 was a success. I checked the weather, lots of cloud cover all day, but I am confident you still got some good photos and videos. Highest recorded altitude on Garmin was 11,452 feet at 8:49 am. Good job guys, march on, sail on, keep filming and sharing it with us. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Oh Barry, it was fantastic! We had a clear view of both the Caribbean and Pacific oceans! It was a 20 mile round trip hike, 5,500 feet in elevation gain and 12 hours of painful bliss. Bliss on the eyes, a little pain on the joints and muscles but worth every second! ;)

    Hi Fellow Sailors,
I am looking for video editing software recommendations. I am the owner and manufacturer of the Cat Solarium. 56tttttttrrrrrrrrrrrr- that was my cat Captain Tiggs walking across my keyboard. We are making lots of videos but need to edit, splice, add music etc. I do not want to recreate the wheel so I am hoping you have time to give me the name of the software you use. I have an Ericson 27 that we are updating. We have watched you since the Motor Home arrived in Florida. I am so proud of you guys taking off to Panama. Thanks for the piece on freezers and your continued detail of your journey. I especially the love the details on expenses. I think you were in the Bahamas and did a break down of your expenses of the past year. As Chris Farley said, "That was awesome". Oh, and I loved the Sony v. Go Pro Cameras. That made life easy. I wish there was an attachment link so I could send you a picture of our Baby Ocicat who currently has his paw in my beer. He has the worlds biggest ears. One day soon, I will apply for a voyage with you guys. We plan on buying a catamaran too and starting out exactly the way that you did, except, I have been sailing most of my life, just not on a Cat. Wynn-Wynn. If you visit our site, you'll see our logo. Can you imagine seeing that on a Spin? Ok, What software do you use???

Jason uses Adobe Premier but it's tough for beginners to get used to. If you're a beginner, Jason recommends starting with Windows Moviemaker or iMovie. Details on all of the camera gear, computers and editing software is given on the blog: https://www.gonewiththewynns.com/best-travel-camera-video-photography . Enjoy that cat beer!

    Hey Jason and Nikki...

We are Jaclyn and Dan... Living full time in Montazuma, CO. Montezuma is just 4 miles from Keystone Ski Resort... or just over the hill from Breck.. where I see you have crushed a few greens;)

Anywho..... we have been to just over 100 countries within the first 7 years of our marriage.... working on cruise ships... Phun Stuph!!!!!!!!

We plan to full time RV.. because why not see a lil bit of our country... after all...we have been pretty much everywhere else...

We found you and have used you two as our inspiration... to make the leap in this chapter of our lives.

I do have a couple relatively easy questions for you both.... before making the leap... and your knowledge ... a bit quirky... like us:) would be very helpful.

Hit me up on FB at https://www.facebook.com/danno.dupont... so we can chat it up a bit.

VERY MUCH looking forward to seeing you in my message box:))))))))))))))))))

I have enjoyed watching your videos and one of the things I really liked is that you are always appropriately dressed and there is never any bad language. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed to watch your recently uploaded video and to hear the Lords name taken in vain. I was shocked and so disappointed. Here was one of the few videos like this that was clean and family friendly. I found it very offensive and just wanted to let you know that I feel it is something that should be considered in your filming and editing.
