TUSCANY: Cycle. Drink. Eat. Repeat.

Convincing my family to go to Tuscany is a dream I honestly never thought would happen.  Because between all the ups and downs of life, it’s easy to let dreams slip away.

But between doctors appointments, work and the ongoing commitments of life, things magically fell into place!  My aunt Rebecca, uncle Mike and cousins (Matt & Keri) all managed to commit to the family trip of a lifetime.  We already admitted the trip didn’t turn out the way we hoped…but, we still had some magical days.  The kind of days that fill you up until you’re drunk on life and all the art, wine, food and people that make it worth living.

This was one of them.  So grab a glass and join us for a tour of Tuscany on two wheels.

On The Road In Chianti

A huge thanks to our friends Michele and Nanna who not only recommended and helped us set up the bike tour at YEP but also volunteered to meet us at each location with my Aunt and Uncle.  Our time in Tuscany wouldn’t have been the same without you. 🙏

Now let’s talk about YEP.  It’s a husband and wife run bike shop.  Alessio (the husband) was our guide and having him with us made us feel like locals everywhere we went.  If you want to do the same trip, something more adventurous or perhaps more low key, the team at YEP can make any trip on two wheels happen.  They do tours or you can rent the bikes, grab some suggested routes and make your own adventure.  But we highly recommend the guided tour!

Thank you for watching!  Ups, downs, and all around, we share it all. If you like what you see, there are lots of ways you can show your support.

Hello there! I honestly don’t know what to say, so I am going to tell you a bunch of random facts instead. I'm a fish eating vegetarian who hates spiders and loves snakes. I almost never took vacations growing up. I wanted to be Pippi Longstocking (still do). I misspell about every other word I write and still struggle with grammar. I love splurging on a good high tea (which is really hard to find these days). And whatever you do, don’t tell me I can’t do something, because then I'll HAVE to do it!

We recently got a pair of Ebikes and Wow, they have made me want to go everywhere! We’re looking at a boat and trying to find a way to accommodate our bikes on it so that we can go riding all over on our adventures.

Thank you for sharing! As always I love having my morning coffee outside with one of your adventures rolling in front of my squinty morning eyes. A great way to start the day!

    Good day Wynns.
Incredible video to see and experience. I am glad your Aunt and Uncle were there and were able to share in all that enjoyment. Watching it was great fun with lots of continued enjoyment.
I did like many scenes of the architecture. I loved the “Last Supper” buildings, artwork and architecture and the buildings and architecture at 17:09 and on in the video. Keep up the great job, entertainment and lifestyle. It reminds me of Rick Steves only way better.
    Happy and Joyous,

e-Bikes are a great idea for long tours on hilly paths in the country, or to access the other side of a sparsely inhabited island for provisions or adventure beyond the dock. However, on crowded urban pathways, with pedestrians, dog-walkers, kids, strollers, and ordinary bikes, heavy, speeding e-Bikes controlled by inexperienced, older, and shall we say, generously proportioned individuals, are anathema.

The video was superb, as usual, especially the editing of the quick takes, and the background music was good except the jazzy music background in the church which was a little odd!

Ahhhhhh, Italia! The e-bike clips were fun to ride along on with the countryside, the foodie experiences…all great. As we travel full time in our Airstream, we love our Specialized Como e-bikes and the wider, cushiony seats for bigger bums. Travel on!

That was so incredible! Thanks for taking us along on a wonderful trip! Your family is so neat and this really was a bonding time. And…..any kind of bike, especially electric, benefits from larger “trek” type tires. Makes it easier on your buns (tip of the hat to Matt!) and takes you more places. That food was to die for!
