# Tybee Island and Hidden Cafes

While in [Savannah, Georgia](https://www.gonewiththewynns.com/?p=3099) we had to check out Tybee Island. It’s only a 20 minuet drive and well, it’s a beach! It is a very small but very cute Island. It’s known as Savannah’s Beach and is a big tourist destination which means lots of touristy shops and restaurants. This is always the trickiest type of place to crack! The restaurants are cute little buildings and not your typical chain restaurants. We only really noticed one place that screamed tourist trap.

So we wondered the town and found this little gem:

Who would have thought one of the best places in town would be sandwiched in between a liquor store and a gas station! Oh, and they had the best shrimp and grits we had in the south hands down!

Another great thing about Tybee Island is their sunsets!
