The Gateway to Zion, Springdale Utah
For a small town with a population of less than 500 Springdale, Utah has lots to offer. We were quite surprised, it seemed every corner we turned there was something different. The town slogan is “The Gateway to Zion” and it is, considering the park entrance is less than 1 mile!
Springdale is a great spot to go for lunch or dinner outside the park. We had a great dinner experience at Bit and Spur, they were not afraid to experiment with their menu! If you go, try the sweet potato tamales, they hit your sweet and savory buds!
I would suggest spending at least a day in the town itself. There is an active art community and a calendar full of events all year long. One of our favorites was the farmers market. The live music was great and it was the perfect opportunity to get to know the locals. In fact, that is how we got a great dinner recommendation.
If you have never been to Zion National Park, now you have one more reason to add it to your “must do” list!

Hi Nikki! I work in Springdale and we are currently showing your Zion video on our lobby TV. I was wondering if you would happen to have a download version of this Springdale video as well that we could show in our lobby. Thank you!

Sara,
thank you for reaching out. We’re so happy you’ve found a use for our Springdale video. We enjoyed our time in your town very much. We don’t really offer our videos for sale since we are in them, but feel free to share as much as you’d like using the YT video embed code. I hope you understand that we must protect our branding.

Im a lcal resident of Springdale and just want to say “stay & play another day” I advise visitors to allow yourself multiple days to see more of what Zion & Springdale has to offer . Also day trips within the surrounding area can be rewarding yet its always nice to come back to Springdale for the beautiful last light on the cliffs enjoyed from your outdoor dining seat or your riverside room. The most common complaint I hear from visitors is that they have to leave!

Hi Guys, I found someone to drive Windy, so we’ll go on a trip to Zion and a number of other places. At which campground did you stay while you were in Springdale? Did you take a guided tour through the narrows or did you go by yourselves? Bernard
Nikki Wynn
We stayed at the campground at the hotel in Springdale and then we stayed in the park (which you can see in the Zion video). You don’t need a guided tour through the narrows, so we did it by ourselves and loved it!

If you want a nice day trip from Zion, you can drive to Kanab, Utah and visit Best Friends Animal Sanctuary located in Angel’s Canyon. I think they may be the largest animal sanctuary in the world and is where DogTown on National Geographic was filmed. I love your site. Became acquainted with you after watching you on an HGTV episode. I’m probably going to retire in 2 years and think living on the road for a couple of years would be a great way to reinvent yourself. So much to learn!

I have been browsing on-line greater than three hours lately, yet I never found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It?s pretty worth sufficient for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made just right content as you probably did, the net might be much more useful than ever before.

Thanks, we work really hard on our videos and posts in hopes of inspiring others to “go outside and play”. There are so many adventures out there; turn off the TV and go find your adventure!

We love Zion, have been there 3 times in last 18 mod. Stay in Springdale at Quality Inn RV Park. We travel about 3 mod of the year from home base near Crested Butte Colorado. Cannot wait to get to Lake Havasu for the first time- L Vegas to Havesu to Indio to Temucula-great casino and campground there to San Diego, park and drive car only to Santa monica. We are veterans of Ca freeways and highways and we do not like them one bit. Just the Ca scenery- No California n . of SFrancisco much better than south. EEEE GADS! Glad you did not get that 42′ RV. Ours is 35′ a beautifully laid out Bounder almost an entry level with lots of upgrades we bought 2 years ago at fire sale prices. -new.

Sandy, Thanks for sharing! Zion Kicks Butt! Norther California is the best part, especially Trinidad, CA. Lake Havasu is awesome. Make sure you stop by the visitors center, you can’t miss it because it’s at the gates to the London Bridge. Agreed we are so glad we didn’t go any larger with our RV. The Bounder is a great RV, we reccomend it to all of our friends who are on a budget, we see hundreds on the road so you know their built well! MSRP on an RV is not to be paid….be patient and you’ll get a killer price! I think that’s it, Would love to see you guys on the road as it seems your interests are similar to ours! Maybe you need to do a Confession of an Traveler for us? Safe travels!
