Sailing The Dreamiest Hybrid Electric Catamaran

When Xquisite invited us to go for a test sail on their Solar 60, we thought "why not?" - even though it's WAY beyond our budget! 😅

At $3.6 million this isn't just any catamaran, it's a fully loaded home and adventure base camp like nothing we've seen before. In fact, we kept marveling at the fact it's "only 60 ft" because it just felt like so much more. From a vented full-size washer/dryer, to a hydraulic boom vang that keeps even the most annoying side swell quiet, to an ice machine that actually works (because it's a residential fridge!). And then there's a toy locker big enough to fit TWO rigid paddleboards.

Not to mention we lived aboard for 5 nights without plugging into shore power or running a generator once. So, it really does live up to the name "Solar 60."

It's more boat than the two of us need (or want)...but it has us very excited about what the future sub 60ft models will look like. Dear genie...🧞‍♂️
