Full Moon Sailing and Dancing (life at sea)

Have you ever danced in the soft light of a full moon at sea?  Sails fill in like a softbox lighting the deck as a stage.  Only the brightest of stars show up. The wind howls, the waves bow, and the views are glowing.

Magical only begins to describe it.

It’s not often that all the elements are so inviting and gentle. We have to bask in these memories and hold on tight.  Because the storms are coming and we’ll need to remember why we choose to live on a boat.

But, if you have ever wondered what a perfectly pleasant sea voyage looks like, for us, this is it!

Ups, downs and all arounds, we share it all. We’re able to do so because people like you show up each week, read, watch, comment, share, shop our gear store, and toss a tip in our production jar. If you like what you see, there are lots of ways you can show your support.

Hello there! I honestly don’t know what to say, so I am going to tell you a bunch of random facts instead. I'm a fish eating vegetarian who hates spiders and loves snakes. I almost never took vacations growing up. I wanted to be Pippi Longstocking (still do). I misspell about every other word I write and still struggle with grammar. I love splurging on a good high tea (which is really hard to find these days). And whatever you do, don’t tell me I can’t do something, because then I'll HAVE to do it!

  • Such an escape for those of us left on land! Love your work Ya’ll. Always beautiful. I was curious about your broken windows. Did that occur on a passage with rough seas or just as a side effect of exposure? If it was rough sea, whoa! Stay safe and Happy and thank you for sharing the bliss.

It’s age (Curiosity’s a 16 y.o. boat) and possibly that curvature. Leopard abandoned that design very quickly because people were having trouble with the windows falling out (Nikki & Jason have reseated theirs twice since 2016).

The Natural World……I say “ditto” to loving your videos! Your great desire to share nature with us reminds me of this architect who wanted to create a better place for us to live in community with Nature. Frank Lloyd Wright (born 1867) the outstanding American architect, designer, writer and educator, believed in organic architecture. He was asked about his church. He stated that his church was a place with a capital “N” for nature and he would go there. His best known home “Fallingwater” built in the mid 1930’s dangling over a waterfall shows us how to enjoy nature in our homes – where we live in harmony with nature. Stepping outside the “box”. I believe that’s what you do for me – very inspiring to that I should take a greater in depth look in our travels and film it too. I am a boater and RVer at the age of 77. Blessings to you for discovery in your many years to come….

Hey Guys, love your videos. I have watched since you were doing camping videos for Thousand Trails. Looking forward to your NZ entries as I grew up in Birkenhead, a suburb of Auckland, until we immigrated to the states when I was 12. I was wondering if you can get Apple TV+ down there? If so there is a cute series called “Trying” which you may like, mainly because the two main characters are Jason and Nikki! Safe travels, and I always look forward to Sunday mornings and your videos. ~ Steve

I appreciate you all for all you do to bring your adventures to us folks who are upon the land. I’m in AK, and while it is beautiful here, its often Cccoooolllddd, even in the summer (which is quite raining so far and the misquitoes are a many this year). So your vids are such a huge get away, thank you thank you thank you. Much love and light, my friends😁😘

You bring such joy and beauty to my life. Your joy of life is so uplifting. BTW, thanks for introducing me to Omaze. Their expenses are high, but most of the expense is for the prizes. They do support charities, and let me help in small ways. And if you are in their marketing budget, all the better.

Another wonderful video. You both certainly have a knack for making travel and sailing adventurous, romantic, and fun. As always–great photography, editing, commentary, and storytelling. Just beautiful work. (Sounds like you’re considering electric engines? That would be a fascinating upgrade.)

Can you please share the brand of your long sleeve swimsuit? Such a great idea instead of always wearing a rash guard

While that would be a treat, only Jason has earned that privilege.

She does show us her body. She is a Goddess in the water, and Jason is an artist with the camera. She shows us her joy, her energy, and her kindness. She and Jason are as near a perfect couple as you can be and be human. They have been together a long time in the RV and on the boat, and still love being around each other. That is grand.
