What was supposed to be a quick overnight in Punta Arenas, Chile turned into something else entirely. And honestly? We wouldn't change a thing. Because it really is about the journey as much as the destination.
The chaos of cancelations and delays served up an unexpected adventure. One that allowed us to soak up everything from the historic streets of Punta Arenas to wild Patagonian forests, delectable discoveries, and a crew of virtual acquaintances becoming real friends while waiting for the bottom of the world to let us in...
🌿 Curious About Foraging?
If watching us wander through Patagonia nibbling on wild berries sparked your curiosity (or mild concern 😅), you’re not alone. Foraging is one of those skills that feels magical… but it definitely comes with a learning curve (and risk).
If you've never been foraging before, I highly recommend trying a foraging experience first before going out on your own. We went on our first tour back in 2014 and we haven't stopped foraging since.
There are A LOT of great books and resources out there to learn from. But the key is always finding a good guide for the area you are foraging in. It's always more fun to go with a local if you can or at least ask the locals about anything you are uncertain of.

These tools can be incredibly helpful for learning, journaling, and building awareness in the field. But they’re not perfect. When in doubt… don’t eat it.
