Rescuing WILD ANIMALS In The Philippines

We stumble our way into some of the wildest adventures.  Which is a kind way of saying, we don’t always know that much about the places we visit.  We learn as explore.

And this week, we took a deep dive into the endangered side of this Megadiverse country.  Because it turns out, the Philippines is home to some of the world’s rarest animals.  As in nearly half of all the creatures found on these islands exist nowhere else.

But all this unique biodiversity has its challenges.  Which we are about to get up close and personal with. So, grab your animal loving friends for this one, or wrangle up the whole family, because we are about to have some rare encounters.

If you’re curious, and want to learn more about WIN or Ocean Adventure I’ve listed their websites below. If you find yourself in Subic Bay, Philippines we highly recommend you stop by and see all their rehab and rescue residents for yourself.

🙏 YOU MAKE THESE VIDS POSSIBLE

Thank you for watching!  Ups, downs, and all around, we share it all. If you like what you see, there are lots of ways you can show your support.

Hello there! I honestly don’t know what to say, so I am going to tell you a bunch of random facts instead. I'm a fish eating vegetarian who hates spiders and loves snakes. I almost never took vacations growing up. I wanted to be Pippi Longstocking (still do). I misspell about every other word I write and still struggle with grammar. I love splurging on a good high tea (which is really hard to find these days). And whatever you do, don’t tell me I can’t do something, because then I'll HAVE to do it!

Thank you for another great video. This introduces us to something we would never see on our own and I really appreciated seeing WIN and Ocean Adventure and their love in rescuing the animals. Thank you for taking us along with you.

Back to the adventures, and yes, that boat wreck looked creepy! I’ve gone to dive a few wrecks and most were neat, but one that sat on an incline was uber creepy, disappearing into the dark and silt. Coming up didn’t help ease the creep – you just wait for some creature to grab you from the darkness and drag you down. Or maybe that’s just me.

Living in close quarters is definitely a challenge because all that private time you used to have, in the bathroom, or in a spare room – you just don’t get it anymore. We’re in RV life, which isn’t as isolating as boat life can be doing a passage, but still, you’ve got to take those alone moments and soak into them fully. My husband is the early riser and I’m the bed potato. Even if I wake up I hang out for a bit and get the weird satisfaction of having the bed all to myself in such tight quarters.

If you get it, you get it.

    Can’t wait for more! (Videos)

It is so nice to watch your videos in real-time now after binge-watching the past couple of years to catch up. What an incredible journey you have taken us along for. Thank you. And thanks for the link to try Headspace. I’m taking my son on a sailing trip around the BVI and I haven’t snorkeled / free-dived in over 30 years. I need to get my lungs in shape!

I really enjoyed your video! Wow!!
I have always been an Environmntal, Animal and Wildlife lover, supporter and protector and I always will be.
Animals are limited in helping themselves. They are sooo innocent and defenseless in this crazy, unpredictable world we all live in.
Animals came first. Human Beings are the intruders.
I am dedicated to, passionate about and responsible for our Environment, Animals and Wildlife today and long into the future.
Thank you, Nikki and Jason, for providing this important message. Animals and the people that help them need all the help they can get Today. 👍💗
