Happy New Year! Best, Worst, Scariest of 2019 & Where to Next

As cliche as it is, I’m gonna say it anyway. Another year has come and gone in a blink!  We’re on a whirlwind tour to catch up with family, friends and fans.  But, we wanted to pop in on you to say Happy New Year and give you a little update on all things Wynn.

Our thoughts are with our friends (and selfishly our home) in Tonga as tropical Cyclone Sarai continues to brew in the South Pacific.  Stay safe guys!!!

🙏 We Wouldn’t be here without you!

Because of our Patrons and you, we’re still sharing lessons learned and adventures had from around the world.  We keep creating and sharing because of you.  Each time you read, watch, comment, share, shop our gear store or put tips in our production jar you make this all possible.  Thank you for being a part of our year.

GET YOUR SWAG ON!

Hello there! I honestly don’t know what to say, so I am going to tell you a bunch of random facts instead. I'm a fish eating vegetarian who hates spiders and loves snakes. I almost never took vacations growing up. I wanted to be Pippi Longstocking (still do). I misspell about every other word I write and still struggle with grammar. I love splurging on a good high tea (which is really hard to find these days). And whatever you do, don’t tell me I can’t do something, because then I'll HAVE to do it!

I’m late to the game with following the Wynns and just getting caught up…. this is somewhat hilarious to watch in Mar 2022!! I was yelling at my laptop “scrap all your plans for 2020!”

Hi Wynns! Nikki- I was wondering what shoes you are wearing in your last video during your hike in Nuie? Could you add a recommendation to the gear store? Also, super excited to try Mineralogie!! Just submitted my first order… FYI the 15% off coupon code for the site expired 12/31… will there be a new one coming?

Love your videos… my family and I watch religiously!

Not sure about the shoes, but I’ve let Nikki know about the discount code. Thanks for pointing it out!

Tell your mom to head over our way in Tennessee. We live near Knoxville (in MARYVILLE), and we would love to have her stay in her new RV on top of the hill at our farm – great view of the Smokey Mountains right out our back door! When you visited Knoxville, during the time you were RVing all over the country, was the first time I saw you on our local TV news. I’ve been following your adventures ever since. It’s been a great time!

Thanks for sharing 2019 with me. So happy! And when you get to NZ check out the Bay of Islands, Whangaruru, and Auckland’s yacht facilities. That’s all scenic and maintenance stuff. But we’re Americas cup potential, so you need to believe we have sailing, yacht design and maintenance skills like you wouldn’t believe.

Scenic stuff? Like not just mentioned? Well, Mayor Island (think Zane Grey!) and the Coromandel. White Island! …… Oh no! Wait! Don’t go there!!!! Well… stay well off-shore! That bloody thing’s a volcano, for goodness sake! Use common sense!!

Take care when you near our shores.

    Love you guys….

I’ll follow you though 2020 whether you enjoy NZ or not.
    I love your posts! Thankyou.

amazing! Everything is breaking around you in the boat except your spirit! Also amazing is how much you have learned is such a short amount of time.
My wife and just retired, sold our sailboat of 19 years and bought a TT land yacht to continue exploring. Just the opposite of your endeavors!
Just found your site and binge watching to catch up. We plan to drop back shortly and catch up and m your RV adventures

Just curious, how do you handle your finances when you are so far away , also how do you handle your tax situation when traveling and can’t be in the USA to file ?
I know this is personal and you don’t have to answer but any info would be helpful.

If you are ever in the need to have some cold weather and snow, feel free to stop by in Fargo, ND. We have plenty of room for guests. We also have a place in Bozeman, MT that has numerous recreational activities. You are welcome at either place. We enjoy following your travels and are a bit jealous of the weather. Hey Wynns!

If you’re near Hendersonville NC and want a place to stay–You’re welcome to come and plug in here at our house in the mountains. From the Ingels in the background of one of your shots and also from the scenery, it looks as though you’re not too far away from us. We are just south of Asheville, near Pisgah National Forest in Brevard and also the waterfall-filled Dupont State Park.

Hiya Jason & Nikki, I just caught your New Year post and see that you have plans to visit South Africa.
I live on an estate in a town just outside Durban on the North East “Dolphin Coast” of South Africa, called Ballito.
If you have a couple of extra days I would be happy to host you to explore this part of the world.

I anxiously await each video. Have to go to work right now and will have to catch up! This popped up in my email today. But looking forward to watching! Hope you guys are enjoying your time in the US to catch up with family. I’m sure it is exciting to be able to do things accessible on land, but yet I could see where one might long to be back on the boat in other ways. Is it hard to emerge back in to society? Anyway while I’m here I just want to say thank you for the trouble you go to – to provide amazing video coverage of all you do. I mean I’d just be happy to see you guys cooking up things in the galley but those underwater photos were over the top beautiful. Those sharks though? That episode scared me so bad. I was worried. The videos take me away a few minutes from our crazy world. Thanks for sharing your world with us.
