We have had a very incomplete picture of England. We immediately think London, royalty and castles. Then quaint countryside, pubs, fish n chips and sticky toffee pudding. We certainly did not think of striking white cliffs, rugged coastlines or dinosaur-lined beaches.
But the Jurassic Coast is full of things we somehow never associated with England at all. Fossils in the cliffs, a village emptied by war, giant coastal walks, military ranges that change where we can anchor, strange little discoveries everywhere.
And sadly, Mary only has a few days left aboard, so we are squeezing as much out of them as we can.
