Let’s Meet Up!

While we love the virtual community we have created together, nothing, simply nothing compares to connecting face to face.  So, why not swing by and say hello if you’re in the neighborhood.

Below are all the places you’ll find us in the upcoming months.  But in general, if you see us, feel free to stop us and say hello!  If you grab a photo with us, tag us❣️ #GoneWithTheWynns

MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

Hello there! I honestly don’t know what to say, so I am going to tell you a bunch of random facts instead. I'm a fish eating vegetarian who hates spiders and loves snakes. I almost never took vacations growing up. I wanted to be Pippi Longstocking (still do). I misspell about every other word I write and still struggle with grammar. I love splurging on a good high tea (which is really hard to find these days). And whatever you do, don’t tell me I can’t do something, because then I'll HAVE to do it!

Hi Hayley. Unfortunately, the Wynns left Miami Monday and are headed back to Tonga (via South Africa for a long visit with Kate!). So sorry you missed them.

No chance of bumping into you while you are still in California?

    reply
    • Curious Minion

They were only in Cali for a couple of days to load the crate of boat parts and ship it off. They’re already back on the east coast and gearing up for the Miami boat show!

Ahhh – honestly I figured they’d already been gone from California before the video were posted! A couple days ago I was talking to Lisa, I said it would have been just like bumping into a celebrity if we’d happened to see them walking thru the airport….. Especially not even knowing yet that they’d dry-docked the boat and come here! All the best to you guys!

If you are ever sailing north Australia and going by Timor Leste look up our son. He lives there and would probably trade you a 3 pound jar of Nutella for a day cruise. We sent him 4 in a care package. It will probably last him for his two year stay there. He speaks the language and could show you around or find reliable guides for you. Love you guys since the RV days. Good air.

A couple of years ago in Denmark we came up with the crazy idea of buying a Catamaran and travel the world, and we found your videos. You have saved us so much time and we are now crusing full time in the meds and currently in the Caribian area. The crazy thing is that we travel with our kids including a son with Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy, so we will problably only have a few years doing this as time is our enemy. By accident we are now in Miami and will be at the boatshow. If we see you we will for sure say hi. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure.

I’m really curious to hear what both of you and the great folks at Just Catamarans think of the new all electric and solar powered Silent Yacht catamarans. They won’t be inside the Miami boat show, but will be offering sea trials from just outside the show. Their lithium banks and solar capacity are far beyond what I thought was a massive system we installed on our RV. Looking to make the move to a catamaran in 2021, and that’s the direction we are thinking of going. Hope you’ll have time to take a look. I assume you’ll be in Australia later this year or 2021 and the silent Yacht 44 is made there. Fair weather and following seas!

We will be at the Miami Boat Show on Thursday and Friday. We have an appointment on Thursday to talk to one of the guys at Leopard Catamarans I believe at 1 pm. We would love to meet y’all if y’all are going to be at the boat show any on Thursday or Friday. We have been following y’all every since y’all got the Catamaran.

I would love too meet you both. However, I need more time as, I am always working away at my craft. I just have commitments to myself, my job and others.

Thank you but, I don’t see a break in the action in this coming mid-February and I just cannot take the time to get away now.

Thanks again and Happy Times in Familiar Places.

Don’t know if timing will be right but would love to meet you both at the Boat show on 2/15. We are staying about 5 minutes from Just Catamarans 2/14 and 2/15 and will try to sneak over to the VIP event on Sunday morning before we leave for a cruise. We are on our own path toward selecting a sailing vessel and some form of blue water cruising life. Hope to see you soon. Take care- Ray & Kim DeBerge

I’m still catching up on episodes, sorry love to binge them helps to keep within the “story”. Quick question based on this schedule looks like you might be off boat for sometime, correct? I’m sure be nice to be back in civilization for a bit, unlimited hot water would be hard for me to give up.

Thanks for the invite, but being in Southern California nothing close is an option.

Too bad you just missed a fabulous 2 weeks at Quartzsite. We were there as part of our Escapee group, and the weather could not have been more perfect. Low wind, sunny skies, and temps in the high 60’s & 70’s during the day. But then – that is not a place you could sail to very easily!!

Oh well – we’ll catch up with you 2 again someday, somewhere, somehow. Meanwhile keep those videos coming so we can follow your adventures!

You are having an amazing adventure and collecting experience, perspective and friends that will go with you forever. But want to admit that I do miss your US RV posts and useful information.

Look forward to seeing someday at Dockweiler Beach in Los Angeles in some fancy new state of the art rig when the time is right.

    Be safe and have fun!
