While traveling through Arizona and filming different RV Resorts we've had our share of experiences, but our stay in Mesa at the Viewpoint RV and Golf Resort was definitely unique. grapefruit This resort marked many firsts for us: our first 55+ resort, our first RV Resort with a golf course and our first RV Resort with free fruit everywhere.

We always have fun throwing out the phrase "we get around" but while staying in Mesa, Arizona we definitly lived up to the self proclaimed reputation. mesa area This was one of those places we drove so much we almost proclaimed ourselves offical car tourist too!  Ok, maybe that's an exaggeration, but we were super happy to have our 40mpg car!  Mesa is just a short drive from the Superstition Mountains, downtown Phoenix and the famous Apache Trail.  We visited all of them and everything in between.

This Valley is smack dab in the center of Arizona and is filled with everything from ancient ruins to ghost towns and vortexes.  Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Jerome and Sedona may all be small towns located close together on a map, however these towns couldn’t be any more different. verde river In fact, the Verde River might be the only thing they have in common.  First, let’s start with our favorite and no, it wasn’t Sedona.  I know, Gasp!

It always feels a bit dicey each time I visit a place I have always wanted to see.  I build up all kinds of expectations (even thought I try hard not to).  Now, Tombstone Arizona hasn’t exactly been on the top of my list, but growing up watching old western’s does spark a good bit of curiosity. Jason and Nikki in Tombstone Tombstone was one of the last boomtowns of the west in the 1800’s.  Silver, silver, and more silver produced $40 to $85 million in cold hard cash!  Can you imagine that amount in the 1800’s?  It’s like hittin’ the big one on every state lottery combined!
