KNOWING WHEN TO BAIL OUT

Our first Boat Delivery continues as we’ve taken the helm of our friend’s 47ft Trimaran, Supernova. We tackled all the repairs (from our first few days at sea) and set sail for what we thought would be a thrilling voyage.

We were so sure that this was going to be a grand sail that we invited 3 patrons along for the journey. Because why not, even misery loves company. But little did we know…

Expect the unexpected, for the winds of fate rarely blow in the direction we expect. I know this and yet, I still find myself flabbergasted on too many occasions. This week’s sail was one of them. It was a humbling lesson in patience, perseverance, and making the tough decision to bail out.

Life at sea is a fickle mistress. But isn’t that what makes it all the more exciting?

A love note to our crew.

Suzanne, Joe, and Kara, you jumped into the deep end with us and we love you to the moon and back.  There is the romanticized idea of sailing and then there is the real thing.  You experienced the real deal in all its unglamorized, troubleshooting glory.  Thank you for going on an adventure with us.

THE GIRL WHO ESCAPED

When Kara isn’t hugging a bucket on a boat with The Wynns, she is out in the world sharing the story about how she survived a serial killer as a means to help educate those who work with victims and empower individuals to be the best version of themselves they can be, regardless of their past.  We had hoped to have her share her story and lessons learned about perseverance while we all sat on the bow…but the winds of fate had other plans.

She really is a huge inspiration and really does have a movie coming out this week!  You may not believe me but it’s not something we coordinated, we didn’t even know about the movie before she came aboard.

🙏 WE COULDN’T MAKE THESE VIDS WITHOUT YOU!

Thank you for watching!  Ups, downs, and all around, we share it all. If you like what you see, there are lots of ways you can show your support.

Hello there! I honestly don’t know what to say, so I am going to tell you a bunch of random facts instead. I'm a fish eating vegetarian who hates spiders and loves snakes. I almost never took vacations growing up. I wanted to be Pippi Longstocking (still do). I misspell about every other word I write and still struggle with grammar. I love splurging on a good high tea (which is really hard to find these days). And whatever you do, don’t tell me I can’t do something, because then I'll HAVE to do it!

Kara, sorry you went through what you did. I have been there before.
I liked Nikki’s conversation with Yoshi.
I was trying to identify the music in the video at 15:10 but had no luck. I looked at your music list but did not recognize anything.
    Happy daze on the Horizon…

      Hey Alan,
The artists are listed in the order they appear if that helps you narrow it down.

Excellent, yet thrilling sail. Kara, I was right there with you and could feel the rough seas. Don’t give up! Looking forward to the next episode and how the problem(s) were resolved. Sail on!
